The Queen's Debating Union is very excited to be starting its 167th season! A number of very important events are coming up in the next month, and include:

1) Queen's in the Park (September 7th, 1PM to 5:30PM, City Park) - the QDU will be recruiting first year students, and will be available to answer any questions you have.
2) Sidewalk Sale (September 10th, 9AM to 4PM, University Ave) - same as Queen's in the Park, so come out and meet the QDU!
3) Opening of the House (September 23rd, 7PM, Stirling D) - the official event that starts off the 2010-2011 debating year; QDU members will be holding a show debate that will give everyone a taste of what university debating is like. We highly encourage you to come experience the QDU for yourself!
4) Novice Training Day (September 25th, all day, Kingston Hall) - the QDU will be hosting a training day of seminars and practice rounds for all newcomers, with a social afterwards. A very informative and fun day, so mark it in your calendar!
5) Central Canadian Novice Championships (Oct 1-3, @McGill University) - a kickoff tournament for the year and always a blast; highly recommended.
